PITTSBURGH–(BUSINESS WIRE)–The Pittsburgh Steelers have announced the launch of Steelers Game Day Plus, the official mobile smartphone application that provides an enhanced experience for Steelers fans anywhere in the world. The application is currently accessible on Android, iPhone/iTouch and Blackberry smartphones.

Available for $1.99, Steelers Game Day Plus is a smartphone application that Steelers fans can access anywhere in the world, providing real-time information from across the NFL, including drive-by-drive stats for every Steelers game. The application delivers real-time news, division and conference standings, injury reports, video-on-demand content of press conferences, an up-to-date roster with depth chart and player statistics as well as access to the team’s aggregated twitter feed. It gives fans instant, up-to-date information at their fingertips, allowing them to stay in touch with the team and other members in Steelers country. The Pittsburgh Steelers are the first team in the NFL to offer access to the NFL stats (GSIS) via the official Steelers mobile smart phone application.

The technology was created by YinzCam Inc., a Carnegie Mellon University spin-off founded by professors Priya Narasimhan and Rajeev Gandhi.
