WINSTON-SALEM, N.C.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–In honor of the introduction of its latest mobile technology innovation, Hatch®, a leading provider of technology for early learning, presented its first “Hatch Educator Innovator Award” and its first iStartSmart Mobile™ system to Miami-Dade County Public Schools (M-DCPS), Pre-K Exceptional Student Education. Hatch presented its Educator Innovator Award during the official unveiling of the iStartSmart Mobile at the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) Annual Conference & Expo in Orlando, Fla. on Wednesday, November 2, 2011. Sheila Miguel, Assistive Technology Specialist, and Julio Suarez, Pre-K Teacher accepted the award on behalf of the progressive M-DCPS Pre-K Exceptional Student Education program.

Roni Bader-Tables, one of M-DCPS Pre-K Exceptional Student Education program’s lead innovators and former ESE director, introduced Hatch’s TeachSmart Learning System into the ESE program and has been actively involved in creating this progressive program that Hatch has honored.
